Oh I get the worries and liabilities but I refuse to belly up in a
world of suit happy people. I refuse to have the few destroy what is
good for the many. I refuse to lose sight of learning and teaching
about the great outdoors and all its benefits. I think most people
who try this are understanding of what risks are out there. Let us
be more aware of posting times and rough distances where we think
they may be needed. Let us encourage people to learn safety of the
woods. Why do you think I do workshops?..... There are so many
opportunities to share our knowledge. I continually share
letterboxing and all there is to learn.
How about a safety spot on the webpage where we could show a
first aid kit what to take what to do when lost. This could be a
simple start to taching more of the safety aspect.
My boxes are all pretty short under 2 hours. For the most part
mine are here to introduce people to all the wondeful spots in town.
So go on out and enjoy- mine aren't going anywhere. Carol Leader of
